Invite a friend, share a Story, earn points

Settings → Refer a friend. The app sometimes shows a promo modal "Refer a friend":

"Share your referral code and earn bonus points you can use to request songs at parties."

Buttons: "Share my code" / "Maybe later".

The "Refer a friend" screen

Contains:

• Hero card with a gift icon and description: "Share your code and earn points when friends join."
• Two stat cards:
  • "Total referral points" - how much you earned
  • "Referred friends" - how many used your code
• Your code - with a copy icon (✓ for 1 second as confirmation)
• Main button: "Refer a friend" - opens the system share with the message:

"Download the Jukebox Party app from this link: {link}. Then enter my referral code: {code}. You'll get points you can use to request a song at any Jukebox party. Thanks!"

How the friend uses it

A friend who signs up using your code → on the "Complete account" screen has a field for the referral code, enters it → both of you get points.

Notifications:

• "Referral points" - for the inviter
• "Points for new user" - for the invitee

Pull-to-refresh on the "Refer a friend" screen updates the numbers after some time.

When it opens

• Automatically - as soon as your song is accepted (Accepted or Played) - the app opens the "Share Story" screen once per party
• Manually, from the party room - the Instagram icon in the song list header ("Story"), active when you have at least one accepted song

The "Share Story" screen

• Hero: "Congrats, your song was accepted. You pick the rhythm of the party!" + song name + band / club
• "Share Story · 100 points" card: "Post a Story on Instagram and tag the account or paste the copied accounts. As soon as we verify your Story, 100 points are automatically added to your account."
• "Tag in Story" - pills with accounts to tag: always first @getjukebox.app, then Instagram of the band and club (if available)
• Private account: "Private Instagram account? After posting your Story, send us a DM on Instagram so we can verify it."
• At the bottom:
• Checkbox "Show paid amount on the story" (on by default; next to it you see the RSD amount that will be embedded in the image)
• Big Instagram button "Share on Instagram" with the Instagram gradient
• Text "Tagging accounts copied - just paste them into the Story."
• Button "Story preview" (eye icon) - shows the final look before posting

What happens when you tap "Share on Instagram"

1. The app renders the Story image in the background (club/location, performer name, song name, optional amount)
2. Opens the Instagram app on your phone, passes the generated image to the Story editor
3. Tags for accounts are already in the clipboard - just paste them
4. You post the Story
5. Our system verifies the Story (tags and image) → +100 points arrives on your account

Edge cases

• If you don't have an accepted song yet, the Story icon in the room is grey; tap = info toast: "Request a song and wait for it to be accepted to unlock sharing."
• Auto-modal shows at most once per party (even if you get multiple songs accepted)

What do I get if I invite a friend?

Bonus points for both you and your friend when they sign up with your referral code and meet the conditions.

What do I get for an Instagram Story?

+100 points automatically, once the system verifies the Story (song accepted, tags placed, image shared).

What if I don't have Instagram?

You can skip the Story share - the song is accepted and will play normally. The 100-point bonus is only for sharing the Story.

What if my Instagram account is private?

After posting the Story, send us a DM on Instagram at @getjukebox.app so we can verify and grant the points.

Can I share a Story multiple times for the same party?

The auto-modal opens once per party, but manually you can tap the Story icon any time you have at least one accepted song. The system is optimized not to duplicate rewards for the same song.

Where do I see how many points I've earned from referrals?

On the "Refer a friend" screen, in the first stat card "Total referral points".

Can I enter the referral code later?

The referral code is entered only on the "Complete account" screen at first sign-in. If you've already passed that step, the code can't be added.
