Add a voucher to your account in seconds

Vouchers add Jukebox funds to your account that you can spend as payment for songs - instead of paying by card. You earn them through refer-a-friend, promotions, events or partner venues.

What Jukebox funds are

Your in-app wallet

In Profile you see "Available funds" with the current balance - those are Jukebox points in your wallet. You can spend them as a payment method for songs (the "Funds" option instead of a card).

Balance = points − reserved for songs in queue. If you cancel a pending song, the reserved points return to available.

You earn funds through:

  • Vouchers - QR codes or codes shared by partner venues, performers, event organizers
  • Refer-a-friend - invite a friend, both of you get points
  • Instagram Story share - +100 points per accepted song you share
  • Promotions and giveaways
  • Top spot on a party leaderboard or monthly city leaderboard
Step 1

Open the Funds screen (3 entry points)

You can add a voucher from three places:

  • Footer: tab "Add voucher"
  • Profile: button "Add voucher"
  • From the song request screen when you don't have enough funds

The "Funds" screen opens with:

  • "Available funds" card
  • two choices: "Scan QR code" or "Enter code manually"

QR voucher

  1. Tap "Scan QR code"
  2. Allow camera if first time
  3. The app validates it (screen "Validating code")
  4. On success: icon + "You unlocked {amount}!"

Enter code manually

  1. "Enter your code" → field "Type the code here" "Confirm"

Voucher format: JUKEBOX_xxxxx. You can manually type the entire string or just the part after the prefix.

Step 3

Funds are on your account immediately

After successful validation, funds are automatically added to your balance. You see new points in Profile → "Available funds" right away, no waiting.

Next time you request a song, pick "Funds" as the payment method instead of a card - the song amount is deducted from your balance.

Common messages

Invalid code

If the code is incorrect, already used, or expired → "Invalid code" (single message for all those cases).

What to do:

  • Check the code character by character
  • Type the full string with the JUKEBOX_ prefix
  • If it still doesn't work, contact us at info@getjukebox.app with the voucher code

FAQ - vouchers and funds

Can I combine funds and a card on one song?

No. For each song you pick one payment method: Funds or Card. Funds spend the entire song amount - if balance isn't enough, the "Funds" option won't be available and you'll have to pay by card.

What happens to reserved points if I cancel a song?

Reserved points return to available funds immediately when you cancel a pending song. Same applies if the performer rejects the song.

How do I get a voucher?

Vouchers are distributed by partner venues, performers and event organizers (e.g. weddings, corporate events). You can also earn them through refer-a-friend, Instagram Story share (see the guide) or in-app promotions.

Do funds expire?

Typically no — but individual vouchers (e.g. promotional) may have an expiration date listed alongside them. Funds you've added stay on the account permanently, unless the voucher terms say otherwise.

Can I transfer funds to another user?

Currently no - funds are tied to the account. But you can buy or request a voucher for a friend that they activate on their own account.
